Virgil was previously the Principal Architect at Limelight Networks, where he was responsible for the video, storage, and function-as-a-service development organizations. Before Limelight, Virgil served as an Enterprise Cloud Architect for Oracle Corporation where he guided Fortune 500 companies on their journey to the cloud utilizing the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Rob Lee is a seasoned executive with over three decades of experience in building and leading complex technology businesses. He is currently an advisor and board member to emerging technology companies, offering his expertise in driving growth and strategic direction.

Rob’s tenure at FIS Impact Ventures as President showcased his innovative spirit, overseeing 100+ venture investments and strategic initiatives in startup innovation. He also led FIS’ global banking business, significantly accelerating growth and modernizing FIS’ banking franchise with initiatives like MBP, Code Connect, and Digital One.

A crucial part of Rob’s career was spent at Alltel, where he served as Executive Vice President of Product Strategy and Software Development for 11 years. He successfully delivered retail, consumer, and mortgage banking products to top 100 banks, and led the international business process reengineering division, Benchmark Consulting.

Prior to FIS, Rob was President of Commercial Technology at Convergys Corporation, leading a profitable division that served over 800 licensed and SaaS technology clients worldwide. He also founded Swyft Technology, developing a scalable multi-tenant SaaS platform with significant traction and securing prominent clients like Comcast, SunTrust, and Assurant.

Forrest was previously an Associate at Harbert Management Corporation, working on private investments in the infrastructure, power & renewables sectors.  Prior to Harbert, Forrest was an Investment Banking Analyst at Guggenheim Securities and Stephens Inc. where he advised on M&A and financing transactions.

Forrest has a BS in Computer Science from the University of Mississippi.

Karsten Lampka

As Partner of Private Equity Investments, Karsten Lampka leads Circumference Group’s private investing practice.

Karsten brings to Circumference Group more than 25 years of investment banking and private equity experience. Over his distinguished career, Karsten has executed over $25 billion in M&A and private and public capital raising across the healthcare, technology, telecom, media and general industrial sectors.

Karsten most recently served as CEO of Tri-Private Capital, a family office based in Nashville. Prior to Tri-Private Capital, he spent over a decade at Avondale Partners, a boutique investment bank focused on the healthcare and technology industries, as a Managing Director and at various times served as Co-Head of their Investment Banking group and was on the firm’s Management Committee.

Before Avondale, Karsten held investment banking positions at Thomas Weisel Partners, UBS, Dillon Read and Stephens Inc. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School and a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Luca Sechi

Luca Sechi serves as Chief Strategy Officer of Circumference Group, where he leads the firm’s efforts to expand its investment universe to private and early-stage opportunities. In this role, he also helps to assess investments in the technology sector, focusing on digital marketing, SaaS, and the Small and Medium Business market. Mr. Sechi brings to Circumference Group more than fifteen years of experience in developing the strategic vision for scaled technology companies, as well as the proven ability to gain deep industry and competitive insights by leveraging first and third-party research and operational data.

Prior to his role at Circumference Group, Mr. Sechi spent almost ten years at Endurance International Group, where he held increasingly senior roles in strategic partnerships, product development, and corporate strategy. He also is a member of several expert networks and is a regular speaker at SaaS and Digital Marketing Industry events. Mr. Sechi holds a master’s degree in Corporate Strategy from Bocconi School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in Business and Administration from the Catholic University of Milan, Italy.
